Hello I was wondering if it makes any difference if the dirt that you collect for your soil sample is wet.? Some of my plots are pretty soggy right now. Thanks Jeff W.

When I collected my samples back in late December my soil was wet from melting snow. I put the soil in plastic bags and let the top open for moisture to evaporate. I wouldn't collect mud for your sample simply because it would be really messy. Just allow it to dry out a little before sending it in.
