Long Season Brassica Blend contains 3 varieties of 90-100 day maturity forage brassicas, rutabaga and swede. It can be planted from June- Early September. If planted early August it will out yield any industry brassica blend and will handle temps down to around 10 above zero. The forage brassicas are also multi graze, which means if the deer eat the forage, it will regrow and will double it's branches. That is why we see plants at times with over 16 branches off one main stem. It is the most attractive brassica to deer when planted in traditional times. When early planted, it will have some refusal and allow deer to not hammer it until later November or early winter. This concept is called "stockpiling." and had been used by me for many years,
