Instead of me posting numerous tips on how to help you all. Let's do something different. Let me ask you all, what are you going to do in 2017 to improve your wildlife health/food plots?
For me i'm going to be utilizing more screening to block bucks' views, to draw them out of the edges. I also will do 3 smaller micro plots utilizing my primetime mix.
Your turn...
See the attached. I think this will go a long way to enhance both the health of the deer and also the hunting.

Since this is my first attempt at a plot I'm learning every step of the way. Its a deep woods plot. Old growth marginal habitat. Been clearing trees since January. Just got a tractor up in there to help out. Hopefully planting the seed Saturday. The weather has been cold and rainy all month.
I have a small plot started, mostly shady, and have plans for a larger one this summer. It is more open and sunny, but I need to mow some tall grass, clear out junk trees, and till the soil to get it ready.
Adding more winter/spring food. Being a new property for me, the pictures of the deer I am getting make me worry for their health and nutrition. Also, much more shooting practice with the bow. I failed to do this last year and suffered with missed opportunities.
Surrounded each plot with corn and forage beans to ensure there's all around cover for them to feel safe!
We clear cut two more food plots, dozer took out stumps, and the dozer also expanded two other existing plots which will help. I also bought a pole saw chainsaw to cut limbs on all our food plots to get more sunlight to the plots.
